These terms apply to the use of the PowerPoint add-in PPPTools and of the online services belonging to it (library, help, update and download service). They apply equally to free and to paid (licensed) use. By downloading, installing or using the software you accept these terms.
PPPTools is an add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint and is provided “as is”, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. It is used solely at the user’s own risk.
The provider gives no assurance that the software works free of defects, without interruption or without security holes, or that it is fit for any particular purpose. Users are themselves responsible for making backup copies of their presentations and data before and during use.
So far as the law permits, the provider’s liability for damage — in particular for loss of data or documents, lost profit, business interruption as well as indirect and consequential damage — arising from the use or the unavailability of the software or the online services is excluded. This applies to damage caused by any security holes or by third-party malware as well.
Liability for damage caused by gross negligence or intent, and any mandatory statutory liability that cannot be excluded by contract, remain unaffected.
The online services (library, help, update and download service) are provided without any assurance of a particular availability. The provider may change, restrict or discontinue these services at any time. There is no claim to uninterrupted availability.
For content provided through the library (snippets, slide templates, storylines) the provider gives no warranty as to correctness, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Users check the content they use on their own responsibility.
The add-in may be signed with a code-signing certificate of the provider’s own. Users install and trust such a certificate on their own responsibility. Notes on this are on the download page.
The provider may adjust these terms at any time. What governs is the version published on this page at the time of use.
Swiss law applies exclusively, to the exclusion of its conflict-of-law rules and of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is — so far as the law permits — the provider’s seat in Switzerland.
